| We are allowed to have as dark a tint as well wish on our rear windscreen and rear side's. But you still have to be able to see However for the driver's and passenager window have to pass the light meter test. I think we have to allow 70% of light through. Our police in the UK have light meters and if they think your front tint or driver's and passenager window tint may be too dark they'll pull you over get out the meter and do the check. They never check rears as they can be black Our is due to Health & Safetly for the driver and not so the police can see in. As for attention from the police I thought I'd was in for it the other day had some prat of a sales rep in his BMW up my rear in a 30zone. At the lights he pull up beside me and I thought blast this idot it's a 50zone ahead when these light change I'm going to show him just how quick this car accerates. Maybe not too wise a thing to do but lights change I dump the clutch and go for it leave the bmw standing only to see a cop on the other side of the road laughing and shaking his head. As I only went over the speed limit by 5mph and then stuck at it. They jap spec zed's tend to get interest over their number plate's but most but we brit's just tend to show them the dvla rule's and point out they have the same plates on their Scoobies and evo's
